Pilani was founded in accordance with Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s vision of nation building through “modernization, science and technology”. For tourist attraction, this is a famous place. One among the 6 Indian ‘Eminence Institutes’ recognized by the Indian Government in 2018 is this institute.
Sharda Temple
One of the most famous temples is Sharda Temple for tourist attractions in Pilani, Rajasthan. It was established by the famous philanthropist G.D. Birla, industrialist and freedom fighter and is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. This temple is presents a best example of the combination of science with spirituality. Sharda temple is constructed of pretty marble which was specially brought from Makrana and inspired by at Khajuraho the Mahadeo temple also in Rajasthan. This pretty park is surrounded by a 400 m circular canal with an idol of Shiv which is situated in the heart of the Vidya Vihar campus in BITS Pilani is Shiv Ganga. A quiet place to relax is Shiv Ganga which is one of the attractions of Pilani in the lap of Mother Nature. Among local people Shiv Ganga is very famous. It is one of the attractions of Pilani which is a calm place to unwind in the lap of Mother Nature.
