The Darrah Sanctuary is strategically located 50 km away from the Kota town and is spread over an area of 250 sq km. Darrah Sanctuary used to be the erstwhile maharaja of Kota’s royal hunting ground in the yore days. This is spread over a hilly terrain and is densely wooded. In 1955, as a protected area, this sanctuary was officially declared. This mysterious sanctuary some of the resident species are Wild Boar, Nilgai, Wolf, Deer and Cheetah. The Jenana Khas is located inside the fort which is particularly very attractive.
